Shower Me With Love

Charlotte Lead Designer, Kelsey Peyton

After graduating from Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture and Urban Studies with a Degree in Interior Design, Kelsey began designing Commercial and Residential Projects in Charlotte, NC. Then, she was given the opportunity to manage and design at a high-end baby and children’s boutique. With an eye for color and a flare for design, it was a perfect fit! Specializing in this niche, she knows the importance of balancing form and function.  Over the years, Kelsey has established lasting relationships with her clients and is thrilled to help them transform their entire home, one room at a time.  She enjoys branching out into other spaces and still designs and oversees various Residential Projects.

“The perfect design is created by carrying out each client’s vision and taking it to a new level with unexpected elements” – Kelsey Peyton, Lead Interior Designer

Design Style – “I pride myself in staying current and taking risks.  I enjoy creating eclectic, unique spaces by infusing timeless pieces with transitional elements.”

Source of Inspiration – “My inspiration usually springs from following fashion trends or finding a fabulous piece of art.  Once the inspiration is in place, the color palette is established and the selection process follows organically.”

Favorite Element – “Metals.  No matter how large or small, whether stainless, pewter, gold, or bronze, a touch of metallic will demand attention.”

Where to Invest – “Staple, quality pieces that will carry with you as your lifestyle and taste transform.”

Where to Save – “Repurpose.  Bring new life to an exciting piece by simply refinishing.  Then, place it in a different spot and it will take on a fresh, new look.”

Best Way to Personalize a Space – “Artwork speaks to your personal style and interests.  Always be on the lookout during your day to day activities or travels.”

Design Must– “Function and scale are incredibly important in creating a successful space.”

Design Style – “I love bringing texture and color to a room. Unique textures, pops of color, and eclectic accessories create a one of a kind room that still feels like home.” –Frances Acevedo, Cary Lead Designer

Source of Inspiration – “I find my inspiration through nature, fun rugs, and beautiful fabrics.”

Favorite Material – “I love wood and pops of metal. I love the warmth of wood accents next to the modern feel of metallic pieces.”

Where to Invest -“I feel it’s best to invest in the pieces of a room you want to last. A great dresser can last a life time if you buy the right one the first time!”

Where to Save – “Personally, I like to switch out accessories often. I like to save on pillows and seasonal accessories. That way I can switch them out and continually keep the room looking fresh.”

Best Way to Personalize Space – “Personal items and artwork are a great way to add a unique touch to a room. Artwork, and keepsakes from trips are a great way to show off your own personal style.”
