How do I keep my baby warm in winter?
If you want to be able to use your baby carrier during the colder months of the year as well, our winter cover will be ideal. The ultralight cover is padded, wind and water repellent, and has been specially developed to protect your baby from the cold.

How should I dress my baby in the baby carrier
Dress your baby in weather-appropriate clothing, but remember that our winter cover is warm in itself. We recommend that you regularly check to make sure that your baby is neither too hot nor too cold.

What’s the difference between Winter Cover for Baby Carrier and Cover for Baby Carrier?
Both of our covers have been designed to protect your baby from the cold. The padding in the winter cover is made of Thermore, a cutting-edge material that offers exceptional warmth and comfort due to its high-performance thermal insulation properties. This makes our winter cover particularly suitable for the cold winter months, whereas our fleece-lined cover can be used on cool and rainy days all year round.

Is the cover easy to take with you and use?
Yes, it’s easy to attach, remove and adjust. The cover is ultralight and can be packed into its inner pocket, making it convenient to take with you. 

Is the hood detachable?
Yes, the hood is easy to put on and take off. It’s also reversible, meaning you can use it while babywearing in either the facing-in or facing-out position. The hood has been specially designed to allow fresh air to flow in. Remember to always ensure that your baby can breathe freely. When you’re not using the hood, you can stow it away in the practical pocket on the outside of the cover.

Is the winter cover big and bulky?
No, the fit has been carefully designed to avoid bulkiness. Our winter cover has been designed to keep your baby warm without weighing you down. Despite being light and thin, it’s packed with high-performance thermal insulation padding that locks in heat and provides superior comfort. When you’re not using the cover, you can pack it into its inner pocket and easily carry it with you.

Why is the inner pocket upside down?
The inner pocket is intended for stowing the cover when not in use rather than for storage. It’s placed upside down to prevent small hands or feet from getting caught in it.

Does the winter cover fit all baby carriers from BabyBjörn?
Absolutely, the cover can be used for all our baby carriers.

When can I start using the winter cover?
You can use the winter cover from newborn and until your child is approx. two years old. The button at the bottom allows you to shorten the length of the cover at first when your baby is small.

Is the winter cover easy to clean?
Yes, the cover is machine washable at 40°C, dries quickly and keeps its shape wash after wash. Small stains are easy to wipe off with a damp cloth.

In which temperatures and climates can I use the Winter Cover?
We wish we could give you an exact answer, but there are many aspects that may affect how warm or cool your baby will feel when using the winter cover. It all depends on factors like humidity, wind, your activity level as a parent, and the number and type of layers your little one is wearing. However, with an appropriate amount of layers underneath, our winter cover can help keep your child cosy and comfy in all kinds of winter weather, from above to below freezing.

Materials
Outer material and lining in 100% recycled polyester (GRS certified). The material has been treated with a PFC-free water-repellent finish for protection against light rain and snow.

The padding is crafted from Thermore, a cutting-edge material made of 100% polyester. This innovative material offers exceptional warmth and comfort even when it’s wet, thanks to its high-performance thermal insulation properties.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
The outer fabric and lining of this product meet the requirements of the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). This is an international certification for recycled textile material. The standard ensures that the product consists of recycled material and imposes extensive requirements on environmental factors, chemical restrictions and social aspects throughout the manufacturing process – from raw material to end product.

bluesign® 
The product’s outer fabric, lining and padding have been approved in accordance with the international bluesign® environmental standard. This means that the fabric has been produced without harmful substances and in a responsible way with regard to the environment, working conditions and consumer safety.

Washing instructions
You can machine wash the cover on a gentle programme at 40°C. The cover dries quickly and keeps its shape wash after wash. Do not tumble dry, dry clean or iron this product. Avoid bleach and hang the cover up to dry naturally.

We do not ship outside the USA.

Estimated ship times are located on each product page. It is important to note that these are estimated shipping times and are subject to availability of products and/or manufacturer’s availability. If a product you have ordered is out of stock or on backorder, we will contact you with a shipment date and you can decide to either keep the order as is, cancel the item or cancel the entire order. Occasionally issues arise that may lead to additional production time, such as our manufacturers experiencing a backup in production. If this is the case you will be alerted as soon as we are made aware that a problem exists. Return policy

We regret that we cannot accept returns after 14 days for any reason. No returns are accepted for special orders, close outs, clearance items and custom furniture; all such sales are final. All Gear (Strollers, Car Seats, and Accessories) Purchases must be in their original condition and be unopened. If you would like to exchange or return an item purchased in the last 14 days that was not a final sale or a custom item, you will need to request a Return Authorization (RA) number.

Email us with the following information:

  1. Your order number
  2. The item(s) to be returned or exchanged
  3. A reason for the return or exchange
  4. Your current contact information including phone number and email address

After receiving your return request, we will review the information and email an RA number and instructions for returning the item. Please do not return items to our Charlotte address without prior authorization as some returns may have to be shipped back directly to our suppliers.

Restock Fee: The following products will incur a 25% restocking fee for returns on items that are not defective: All lamps, chandeliers, lamp shades and sconces, all Company C pillows, all mirrors and all rugs with the exception of Dash and Albert (Maura Daniel items are custom made to order and considered final sale). Please note that items shipped back to us without a return authorization number will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense. All items must be returned in their original, unworn and unused condition enclosed in original packaging within 14 days for a refund or exchange. Returned items should be free from dirt and debris (including pet dander). In the event an item is returned in a condition where it cannot be resold, the order will be sent back to you and additional shipping charges will apply. Shipping and gift wrap fees are non-refundable. We offer free shipping on several of our items. If for any reason you need to return an item with free shipping, the refund you receive will be for the item price minus the standard shipping cost on both the original shipment and the return. Standard shipping costs are based on item prices as outlined within our shipping information. If you opt to exchange your free shipping purchase for another item that also had free shipping, a standard shipping charge will be added to cover our costs. Final sale items are not eligible for return or exchange; no exceptions.

**Note: Some “free shipping” items may be sent via freight carrier by truck. In the case that the ship to address is not accessible by regular delivery truck, the customer will be responsible for all additional delivery charges such as ferry fees, etc. Please contact smwlove@gmail.com to make them aware of any special delivery requirements that must be taken for the item to reach the final destination.

Descriptions of merchandise, including colors or shades, textures and other features are provided by the manufacturer; Shower Me With Love assumes no liability whatsoever for the description, for variance, including in colors or textures, minor imperfections and/or for a product not meeting with customer satisfaction, absent a manufacturer-verified defect.

In the event of a disputed credit card charge, which is ultimately found to have been legitimate or which otherwise finds, in whole or in part, in favor of Shower Me With Love, the customer shall be responsible for all attorneys’ fees and costs borne by Shower. The terms of any purchase from or dispute with Shower Me With Loveshall be governed by North Carolina law, and any litigation arising out of such dispute shall be brought in the State of North Carolina, County of Mecklenburg, in the district governing the City of Charlotte.

Furniture, bedding, lighting, personalized and custom items

Because many of these items are made to order, all custom pieces are not returnable or refundable. Custom orders include (but are not limited to):

  • any furniture item
  • all personalized or monogrammed items
  • all “One of a Kind” pieces
  • all wallpaper
  • Annette Tatum bedding
  • DwellStudio (furniture, fabrics and rugs)

If you are at all uncertain if what you are ordering is considered custom please contact us to verify. You may cancel a custom order and to have the amount refunded to your credit card within 24 hours of the time you place your order. After 24 hours, custom orders are non-refundable. We regret that we cannot make any exceptions to this rule.

Upon delivery, please take time to inspect all freight shipped furniture items carefully for any damage that may have occurred in transit and contact us immediately. Claims against damaged items must be made within 3 business days. Unfortunately, claims made after the 3 business day window will not be accepted and are unable to be returned. Please refer to our vendor warranties for specific information on individual policies.

If for any reason your custom furniture piece does not arrive with the specifications that you selected when ordering, Shower Me With Love reserves the right to have the item or items replaced and reshipped at no additional charge to you. You should contact us immediately if this occurs so that we can get the replacement in the works as soon as possible.

Shower Me With Love does everything possible to assure a smooth and prompt delivery of your furniture and custom items. However, be aware and consider that there are circumstances out of our control that may arise and result in a delay in the production or delivery of your items. We do our best to give accurate lead times for each furniture manufacturer but estimated lead times are not a guarantee of a specific delivery date. We welcome your inquiries as the estimated delivery time approaches and we can follow up to give you a more specific idea of your ship date at that time. Also note that shipping time for freight items (this includes, furniture and some rugs) is approximately 7-15 business days from the time that the item(s) are scheduled for pickup from our manufacturer. We act as your liaison to best assist you in a prompt delivery but again, there are variables that are out of our control as we are considered a third party. We know you’ll enjoy the product that is made especially for you!

Furniture

Many of our custom made furnishings are made from wood, a natural living and breathing product. Nature is unique and never duplicates, making no two pieces of wood, even from the same tree, exactly alike. Because wood responds to fluctuations in humidity levels (just like hardwood flooring), furniture can expand and contract over time depending on the climate. Please note that the degree of humidity or dryness in your home may cause splitting which will not affect the structural integrity of the piece and is not to be considered defective.

Certain types of wood will have more visible knots and wood grain. Our artisans make every effort to conceal knots and grain on painted finishes, but due to natural resins within some wood types (i.e. pine), they cannot completely eliminate them or guarantee to control them. Knots and grain may bleed through and slightly discolor the finish (this may be more apparent on light color finishes). This discoloration is not to be considered a defect in craftsmanship. Irregularities in the finishes are not to be considered defects. While finishes are durable, they are not indestructible. Please contact us for care and maintenance of your wood furniture.

Shipping and delivery methods

The available shipping methods for products will be noted on the product page. Two day express delivery is available only for items that we have in-stock that specify that Second day shipping is offered. Second day express deliveries do not ship or deliver on weekends or holidays, but only during standard business days. Orders must be received at SMWL by 2:00 pm PST to be delivered within 2 business days. Second day express delivery may not be available for items drop shipped from our suppliers and artisans.

Custom made furniture, bedding and lighting are not available for Second Day Delivery. Oversized items such as art, rugs and moses baskets are occasionally available for Second Day delivery, however additional shipping surcharges will apply. Please contact SMWL directly if you are interested in Second Day delivery for products that do not specify this as an option on product pages.

Furniture and large items often ship via freight carrier. Most carriers schedule deliveries Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Freight companies will contact you a few days prior to the delivery to schedule a delivery date and time frame (typically 2-4 hour blocks) that works for you. For standard freight delivery our shippers deliver furniture to your driveway. Premium in-home delivery is available if you would like the item placed inside the threshold of your home or in a particular room with all packing materials discarded. Freight items can be ONLY shipped within the 48 contiguous states.

If your scheduled appointment is missed, you will be charged a delivery trip fee. Please do not arrange for the item/items to be delivered when no one is home to receive them. Although our suppliers take great care in packaging their goods for shipping, damages may occur in transit. Furniture items must be carefully inspected BEFORE you sign for the delivery. If the furniture happens to arrive with any defects DO NOT sign for the items. Contact us immediately while the trucking company is there so that we may discuss the best way to handle the situation. If you are not able to get in contact with us, please either refuse the delivery or note the damages and status of the packaging materials on the bill of lading before signing for the delivery. SMWL will be unable to assist you in the replacement of damaged goods or reimbursement if the above procedures are not followed.

If you need to reschedule the delivery with our carrier, please contact them as soon as possible so as not to incur any charges for missed delivery appointments.

As noted on each of the products, some furniture is only available to ship Standard. Furniture assembly is not included, but may be available if it is arranged before order is placed. Please contact our customer service department before placing your order should you need special delivery arrangements or furniture assembly for a fee if possible. 

Furniture/ Accessories Warrantees

SMWL upholds the warrantees provided by the artisans and manufacturers who create our furnishings. Because the details and duration of our manufacturers’ warrantees differ, we encourage you to ask one of our design consultants for specific warranty information on products of interest.
